The ongoing challenges surrounding the battery recalls for the Hyundai Kona, Chevrolet Bolt EV and Bolt EUV – not to mention recent Volkswagen ID.3 fire in The Netherlands, has caused some people to question the safety of electric vehicles – and specifically those made with LG Energy battery packs.

Some of you have reached out to ask if you should avoid LG Energy vehicles for now? Or if there’s a way to ascertain which cars with LG Energy battery packs are okay – and which ones aren’t.

The simple answer is that there’s no simple answer, but today we’re going to go over some things to bear in mind that could help you decide what to do next.
